The MACo Summer Conference is an annual event where county elected officials and staff, legislators, State and Federal officials, and business representatives convene to study best practices in local government and explore partnerships through which to better serve the people of Maryland. Participants have access to over 25 educational sessions focusing on local government issues such as budgeting and finance, environmental policy, planning and land use, education, and many more. The conference also offers attendees the chance to hear from policy experts and political luminaries, and learn from their experiences and insights.

An exhibit booth trade show, featuring over 250 of the best of commercial, state, and county services and products is held in two grand exhibit halls, across the foyer from one another.

Highlights of the conference include the closing session address by the governor and the crab feast on Friday evening.

MACo is strictly a non-partisan organization and does not allow any type of political campaigning at its conferences and events.
